Eusoff Hall

Eusoff 是有強制 meal plan 的宿舍，有興趣了解 meal plan 的可以參考 這一篇。整個 Eusoff 一共有 6 個 block（A、B、C、D、E 和 Admin），各個 block 之間是以走道或樓梯連接的。每個 block 有四層樓，整體大約有 500 位住宿生，平均每層樓大概有 25 人左右。我這層有 21 間房，其中部分是雙人房。每層樓都設有廁所（包含 5 間淋浴間和 5 間馬桶間），以及一個公共空間（像是 meeting room、廚房或洗衣房）。宿舍裡還有各式各樣的球場，生活機能非常完善！

Eusoff Hall has a compulsory meal plan — if you’re interested, you can check out this post. The hall consists of six blocks (A, B, C, D, E, and Admin), all connected by walkways or staircases. Each block has four floors, with around 500 residents in total, which means about 25 people per floor on average. On my floor, there are 21 rooms, and some of them are double rooms. Every floor is equipped with bathrooms (five showers and five toilets) and a common area such as a meeting room, kitchen, or laundry room. There are also various sports courts around the dorm, so it’s a really convenient and lively place to live!

位置

房間

Eusoff 的所有房間都沒有冷氣，不過房間天花板上都有電風扇。房間內基本設備很齊全，包括衣櫃、書櫃、鏡子、床和檯燈，基本上不太需要再額外添購家具。有些人會自己買移動式冷氣，不過這在宿舍是違規的。宿舍方會定期檢查，所以大家都會在群組裡互相提醒，要記得把冷氣管藏好。

None of the rooms in Eusoff have air conditioning, but every room comes with a ceiling fan. Each room is well-furnished with essentials — a wardrobe, bookshelf, mirror, bed, and desk lamp — so there’s usually no need to buy extra furniture. Some residents get portable air conditioners, but they’re technically not allowed. The hall staff do regular inspections, so people often remind each other in group chats to hide the aircon pipes before checks.

房間的門可以用學生證或手機 App 解鎖，不過其實大家平常很少上鎖，因為宿舍裡不太會有陌生人隨意進出。有時候為了讓空氣流通，大家也會把門打開讀書，氣氛非常自在、輕鬆。

The door can be unlocked using a student card or a mobile app, but most people rarely lock their doors since strangers almost never enter the dorm area. Sometimes, to get better ventilation, we even keep the door open while studying — it feels casual and comfortable.

公共環境

衛浴

廁所和淋浴間各有五間，每天都有清潔人員負責打掃並補充衛生紙和洗手乳，因此整體維持得非常乾淨。淋浴間水量充足，也能自行調整熱水的溫度。雖然是共用衛浴，但我整個學期都沒有遇過想洗澡或上廁所卻沒有空位的情況。此外，也可以到其他樓層或其他 block 使用（雖然我自己沒試過）。宿舍還設有一區專門放沐浴乳的架子，大家會把自己的放在那裡，就不用每天提來提去，也不太需要擔心會被拿錯。

There are five toilets and five shower rooms on each floor, cleaned daily by staff who also refill toilet paper and hand soap, so everything is kept very tidy. The showers have strong water pressure, and you can adjust the water temperature yourself. Even though it’s a shared bathroom, I never had to wait for a shower or toilet the entire semester. You can also use the facilities on other floors or blocks (though I personally haven’t tried). There’s a shared shelf for toiletries, where everyone leaves their own shower gel or shampoo, so you don’t have to carry them every day — and things rarely go missing.

廚房

廚房裡有飲水機（冷、熱水都有），泡麵的時候就不用自己燒水。還有冰箱、鍋碗瓢盆、刀具、洗碗精和各種基本調味料，只要準備好食材就能開火下廚。用完之後只要把環境整理回原位就好，非常方便。

The kitchen has a water dispenser with both hot and cold water, so you don’t need to boil water yourself for instant noodles. It’s also equipped with a fridge, cookware, knives, dish soap, and basic seasonings — everything you need to cook, as long as you bring your own ingredients. After cooking, you just need to clean up and put things back in place. Super convenient!

洗衣房

每個 block 都有一間洗衣房，裡面有六台洗衣機、兩台烘衣機，還有一塊晾衣區。大家通常會把自己的洗衣精放在角落，不用每次洗衣服都從房間帶下來。我自己沒用過烘衣機，但常常在群組看到有人提醒「烘衣機好了」，看起來還是有人會用。我用的時候六台洗衣機幾乎都空的，可能是大家洗衣時間不太一樣，所以基本上都很夠用。而且也可以去其他 block 洗衣服，完全沒問題。

Each block has its own laundry room, equipped with six washing machines, two dryers, and a drying area. Most people leave their detergent in a corner, so they don’t have to bring it from their rooms every time. I personally haven’t used the dryers, but I often see messages in the group chat reminding others that a dryer has finished, so I guess some people do. When I use the laundry room, the washing machines are almost always available — probably because everyone does laundry at different times. You can also use the laundry rooms in other blocks, no problem at all.

總結

整體來說，我這學期的宿舍生活真的非常喜歡，既有趣又充實。雖然宿舍費用不便宜，但環境真的對得起這個價錢，完全不會有那種常聽到的宿舍問題。除了環境很棒之外，宿舍活動也超多又好玩，尤其是各種運動社團，還有機會跟當地學生交流，讓生活變得更豐富。我真的很享受在這裡的每一天。

Overall, I really love my dorm life this semester — it’s been fun and fulfilling. Although the dorm fee isn’t cheap, the environment is definitely worth the price, and I’ve never run into the usual problems people complain about in other dorms. Besides the great living conditions, there are tons of interesting dorm activities, especially sports clubs, where I get to meet and hang out with local students. I’ve truly enjoyed my time living here.

要說缺點的話，大概就是沒有電梯吧。平常上下樓沒什麼問題，畢竟樓層也不多，只是剛搬進來時扛行李有點辛苦。不過除了這點之外，整個宿舍生活幾乎可以說是完美的。

If I had to mention one downside, it’d be that there’s no elevator. It’s fine for everyday life since the building isn’t tall, but moving in with luggage was a bit of a workout. Other than that, everything about dorm life here has been pretty much perfect.
