Museums
An NUS student card is incredibly powerful, granting free admission to most museums in Singapore. With this card, we are considered local students, allowing us to bypass the admission fees. Here are the museums I have visited so far, along with my personal ratings (out of 10):

National Gallery Singapore
I was very lucky during my visit, as the gallery was hosting an Impressionist exhibition. It was quite popular and drew a large crowd. Thanks to my student card, I also received free admission to this special exhibition. The paintings on display were on loan from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM)
During my visit, the museum was hosting a special exhibition themed around CHAGEE. It showcased the tools used to prepare their tea, along with the history and culture surrounding the brand. There was even a CHAGEE pop-up store inside the museum offering a limited bundle—a cute pony plushie and a cup of tea for $17.90. The museum itself is massive, extensively covering the history of Asia as well as the evolution of its religions. I highly recommend visiting when a guided tour is available to gain a deeper understanding of the exhibits.

Peranakan Museum
Located downtown, just opposite the ACM, this museum is dedicated to the culture of the Peranakan people. While it is a relatively small museum, it is incredibly interesting. They provide guided tours in both English and Mandarin. I strongly recommend joining a guided tour, as it provides a much deeper understanding of Peranakan culture. I was surprised to learn that “Nyonya” specifically refers to Peranakan women, rather than the entire culture—which is different from how the term is often used in Mandarin.
Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum
This museum is conveniently located on the NUS campus, near the Museum bus stop. It is most famous for its impressive dinosaur skeletons. The museum isn’t huge, featuring two main floors for visitors. The first floor primarily displays the dinosaurs, while the second floor focuses on the rich biodiversity of Southeast Asia. I visited on a weekday, so there was no queue. Overall, the exhibits are deeply focused on biological creatures and natural history.
